obama_index_march_27_2009Obama has not received a bounce in his approval ratings following Tuesday night’s prime-time televised press conference. Following his first prime-time press conference and his nationally televised address to Congress, the President’s numbers bounced significantly before returning to earlier levels.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 35% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty percent (30%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +5. Those numbers reflect strong political partisanship. Men continue to disapprove much more than women who give Obama more slack.
