Polish And Press Your Tinfoil Hat Mars Looms In August

mars3The planet Jupiter’s tug will bring the planet Mars to its closest approach to Earth in all of recorded history. Beginning in early August Mars will grow until it appears as bright as the moon. Astronomers are arguing when mars has been this close and can only agree it has been at least 5,000 years and maybe 60,000 year ago since  Mars sneaked to only 34,649, 589 miles and that it will not be that close until 2287.

This is almost certain to provoke H. G. Wells and Orson Welles “War of the Worlds” like moments, and more pagan inspired predictions than you can shake a stick at. I can imagine my Celtic forebears painting themselves blue and prancing around a blazing bonfire

Latter day nut cases will almost certainly provide an entertaining summer, and you have plenty of time to get your tinfoil hat polished and pressed.

  1. This Mars story is a hoax. It has been perpetuated by email chain letters annually since 2003. Please research your information before posting.

Again, it is a chain letter hoax.
