SENATE VOTES TO CUT OFF ACORN FUNDS

obamacornDespite a defacto news embargo by mainstream media more sordid news is oozing out about ACORN.

Last week two independent filmmakers released tapes that caught ACORN “counselors” coaching a man and woman actors how to qualify prostitution as a legitimate business and how to lie on federal housing applications to get a house.

Inexplicably, despite the release of the videotapes, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) continues to refer people for “tax help” to ACORN.

Last week the U. S. Census Bureau has ended its contract with ACORN saying it no longer had confidence that it is properly managing the contract. Details have been slow coming out on exactly what that means.

ACORN had been named a Census data collection partner for the 2010 Census. Census director Robert Groves, an ACORN-approved Obama nominee, reportedly sent the letter to the ACORN cutting them off because of serious irregularities. Patronage is a long estiablished practive during the census but the ACORN contract SETS A NEW LOW.

Tuesday the U. S. Senate voted overwhelmingly (83-7) to cut off ACRON’S federal housing funds.

There are increasing calls for AG Eric Holder to investigate ACORN and its affiliates but, so far he and the White House have stone walled any federal investigations although there are other investigations at state and local levels into what some are now calling ACORNS criminal activities and racketeering.

At the heart of the ACORN controversy is its close ties and relationships with Obama during last year’s elections..

In a humorous and bizarre development just as Congress considers censure of the Congressman who called Obama a liar last week comes news Obama himself was caught calling musician Kanye West a “jackass” because of the performer’s outburst at a music awards ceremony.  Of, course Obama is right but then it turns out so was Congressman Wilson.  CBS QUICKLY REMOVED THE “TWEET” but by then it was viral.
